Oboe performance, lessons, reeds & cane

Sarah Carmack is the principal oboist of the Minnesota Sinfonia, and an active freelancer in the Twin Cities, performing regularly with many local ensembles. In 2018 she was appointed the English Horn position in the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra. Sarah plays solo oboe at several local churches, and frequently gives chamber music recitals. She completed graduate studies at the University of Minnesota after receiving her undergraduate degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. In addition to teaching private studio oboe at the University of St. Thomas, Sarah gives masterclasses on performance, reed making, and knife sharpening at high schools and colleges throughout the state. Sarah processes and sells oboe reeds and cane to order, repairs oboe gouging machines, and greatly enjoys teaching other oboists about the art and science of cane, machines, and reed knives.

Sarah is currently accepting private students of all ages and abilities; please inquire for more information. Upcoming performances and recordings will be posted here. Use the contact form below for ordering oboe reeds etc.
